This is a song to a person who does too many drugs far too often and who is suffering partially because of it and that’s only part of it. second verse is going to deal more with real emotional problems as well.

listening to Ingrid Michaelson’s new album right now
it’s really not very good
like it’s okay, but it’s nowhere near as good as her old music
not because it’s like a different style (which it is) because i would be fine with that. the lyrics are really cheesy and non-catching, and the chord progressions she chooses are so bland and forgettable.
don’t buy it. there are only a couple of really enjoyable songs and the rest are mediocre at best.
The new version of You Don’t Get To Say You’re Sorry with a drum beat and a key change after the bridge. I also added acoustic guitar and a bass synth and I think it sounds a whole lot better than the first demo. I was going to add violin melodies too but I feel like I’ve been working on this song for too long in too short a time span. I’ll probably come back to it another time. What do you think of this version?
